Community Outreach Program

One of the ways that the Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign (IWAC) has been successful is by creating a Community Outreach Program.  This Program utilizes Television, Radio and Newspaper as its message medium and focuses on a central theme of Idaho's Most Wanted "Noxious Weeds." You can view and listen to a number of examples below.

Idaho Invasive Weed Toolkits

The IWAC has developed a pilot educational program in Idaho schools by creating the Idaho Invasive Weed Toolkits.  Over 1,000 toolkits in both Elementary and Middle school levels have been distributed through Idaho 's Agriculture in the Classroom, Idaho Rangeland in the Classroom and County Weed Superintendents. To request educational materials on Idaho's noxious weeds, e-mail the Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign.
